Thermally Modified Radiata Pine
The ABODO Vulcan products are made from thermally modified New Zealand Radiata Pine.
The thermal modification process dramatically increases the durability and stability of wood and results in a beautiful rich brown colour, effectively creating a new sustainable, environmentally friendly timber species.
Thermal modification is achieved by using steam and high temperatures in excess of 200 degrees Celsius.
Abodo’s unique thermal process uses higher temperatures than typically used to achieve superior durability and stability
